Fritillaria, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the dried bulb of Fritillaria thunbergii Miq., a plant of Liliaceae. Excavate and wash when the plants wither in early summer. Rub them separately, remove the outer skin, mix with calcined shell powder, absorb the rubbed juice, and dry; or take the bulbs, separate them by size, wash them, remove the core buds, cut them into thick slices while fresh, wash them, and dry them , Xi called "Zhebei slices". It has the effects of clearing away heat, resolving phlegm and relieving cough, detoxification, resolving stagnation and eliminating carbuncle.         Pharmacological effects:
        1. Effects on smooth muscle and glands
         In isolated bronchopulmonary perfusion of cats and rabbits, petilimine can significantly expand bronchial smooth muscle at low concentrations, and contract significantly at high concentrations. The former is similar to the effect of atropine, and the latter may directly excite bronchial smooth muscle. Neither peiculine nor dehydropeiculine have been confirmed to have antitussive effect.
        Fritillaria can excite the isolated uterus of rabbits, the pregnant uterus is more sensitive than the non-pregnant uterus, and it can also excite the rat uterus. Atropine cannot eliminate its excitatory effect on the uterus. After pre-treatment with dibenzylamine or reserpine, its excitatory effect on the uterus is weakened or disappeared.
