Details :
    Pomegranate peel, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the dry peel of the pomegranate Punica granatum L. Also known as pomegranate shell, sour pomegranate peel, sour pomegranate peel. Pomegranate peels need to be picked in autumn when the pomegranate fruit is ripe and the top is cracked, the seeds and septum are removed, the petals are cut and dried in the sun, or dried on low heat. Dried pericarp is in the form of irregular or semicircular fragments, 2-3 mm thick. The outer surface is dark red or brownish red, rough, with small white bumps; the top has a remnant calyx; the base has a fruit stalk; the inner surface is bright yellow or brownish yellow, and there are remnants of raised and reticular fruit pedicles; crisp and Firm, easy to break; weak gas, astringent taste; thick skin, reddish-brown color is better. It is cultivated in both the north and the south of my country, especially in Jiangsu, Henan and other places. It has the effects of astringent intestines, antidiarrheal, hemostasis, and deworming.       Pharmacological effects:
       1. Deworming: Pomegranate has a strong killing power against tapeworms, and can act on the muscles of the worms, causing them to fall into continuous contraction. Pomegranate hydrochloride at a concentration of 1:10000 will kill tapeworms after 5-10 minutes. It has been clinically proven that the combination of alkaloids and tannic acid has a better deworming effect, because tannin can turn alkaloids into insoluble and difficult to absorb compounds, so that they can fully exert their effects on intestinal parasites.
