    Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. is a dried stem of Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. At the end of autumn, harvest the aboveground part, remove the twigs, leaves and fruits, and dry in the sun. Or when perilla leaves are harvested in late summer, the thick stems are cut off and dried in the sun. The former is called Laosu terrier, and the latter is called Nensu terrier. Contains volatile oil, mainly perillaldehyde, L-limonene and a small amount of a-pinene. The height is 60-180 cm. Su Ye decoction has a mild antipyretic effect; it can promote the secretion of digestive juice and gastrointestinal peristalsis; it can reduce bronchial secretion and relieve bronchospasm.
