This product is a herbal medicine commonly used in Lingnan. A common axillary plant in southern China, it can be seen on the hills in the suburbs of Guangzhou. The history of the medicinal use of Buzaye was first found in the Lingnan Materia Medica Book "The Nature of Herbal Medicine" written by He Kejian in the Qing Dynasty. In this book, it contains the Lingnan Chinese herbal medicine "ragbuye" which is often used as tea for clearing away heat and detoxification. , and contains it: "It is sour in taste, flat in nature, non-toxic, relieves all swellings, clears yellow qi, and eliminates heat and poison. It is used as a tea drink to remove food accumulation. It is also known as cloth dregs." Later, another Lingnan Materia Medica monograph "Materia Medica Qiuyuan" published in the 28th year of Daoguang (AD 1848) was recorded under the correct name of "Buzaye", saying "that is, broken cloth leaves, sour and sweet, flat. All kinds of phlegm and poison, clear away heat, eliminate indigestion, jaundice. It is good for tea." Another "Guangdong Tongzhi" described: "The rag leaves come out of Yangjiang Yangchun Enping. If you are addicted to poisonous water, take decoction and take it for immediate solution." This was recorded in the subsequent "Lingnan Herbal Chronicles", "Luchuan Materia Medica" and the Chinese herbal medicine manuals in Guangdong and Guangxi. "The Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China" (1977 Edition) and "Guangdong Standards of Chinese Materia Medica" (Volume 1) are also included. Although each document records the drug with a different name, but its drug source is the same plant, so it can be confirmed that the drug recorded in each document is the same medicinal material. Suitable for hot and humid climate in Guangdong. Since ancient times, Buza leaves have been widely used in folks in the Lingnan area of my country. Folks often use Buza leaves as summer drinks, which have the effects of quenching thirst and appetizing.
The application of cloth slag leaves in modern Chinese medicine clinics is relatively rare, and its application is mainly concentrated in Lingnan folk tea beverages and some enterprises to make health-care herbal teas. Some modern Chinese medicine monographs have detailed records on cloth dregs, such as "Guangdong Provincial Standards of Chinese Medicinal Materials", "Chinese Materia Medica" and so on. The functions contained in the two are basically the same, the main functions are clearing heat, eliminating stagnation, and promoting dampness; but in terms of indications, the latter contains the former's "cold, damp-heat stagnation of epigastric pain, diarrhea due to lack of food, damp-heat jaundice", Also increased " sores, centipede bites " symptom. The nature and taste of the other two are very different. The former states: "Buza leaves are sweet, light in taste and slightly cold", while the latter states: "Ragbu leaves are sour in taste, light in taste, and flat in nature". It is worth exploring further.
