Details :
     Raw ocher is the ore of the oxide mineral hematite. After digging out, remove soil impurities. Produced in Shanxi, Hebei, Guangdong, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, Hunan and other places. This product mainly contains ferric oxide (Fe2O3). Raw ocher has the effects of calming the liver and suppressing adverse reactions, cooling blood to stop bleeding, regulating qi and relieving pain. It can be used clinically for headaches and dizziness caused by hyperactivity of liver yang. It is often used in combination with keel, oyster, white peony and other drugs. In addition, calcined ochre is also used for cough and asthma, and it can be used alone to grind it and mix it with vinegar. For the inverse cough and asthma caused by deficiency of both lung and kidney, it can be combined with medicines such as Codonopsis pilosula and Cornus officinalis to invigorate the lungs and inhale qi. For vomiting, hiccups, and belching caused by stomach qi upward reversal, it is often used in combination with pinellia and ginger. Calcined ochre is also used for hematemesis due to blood heat, epistaxis, etc., and it is often used in combination with white peony root and bamboo rhubarb.
