    Rush is a perennial herbaceous aquatic plant, with short underground stems, prostrate, erect stems in clusters, cylindrical, solid, brown at the base of the stem, degenerated scale-like sheath leaves, spikes, terminal, pseudolateral on the stem , basal bracts extend in a stem shape, with 2 bracteoles under the flower, 6 perianth lobes, 3 stamens, and 3 divergent pistil stigmas. Brown-yellow capsule, ovate or elliptic, yellow seed obovate. Rush rush is also a medicinal plant. Its stem marrow or whole plant has the effect of clearing away heat, diuresis and dampness. It can be used for gonorrhea, edema, upset and insomnia, sore throat, trauma and other diseases. Rush is the stem marrow or whole plant of Rush. Rhizoma rush relieves water and relieves stranguria; clears heart and reduces fire. Indications: gonorrhea; edema; difficulty urinating, oliguria and astringent pain; damp-heat jaundice; restlessness and insomnia; infantile night cry; sore throat; aphtha of the mouth and tongue; trauma.
