    The ground mouse is also called "Mirabilis root"; it is also called in some areas: pollen head, rouge flower head, powder fruit root, powder head, white flower ginseng, white powder horn, white powder root, and water powder head. The traditional Chinese medicine "Mirabilis root" is the root of Mirabilis plant Mirabilis. Harvest in October-November of the year sown. Intravenous injection of the root's acidic water extract can increase the blood pressure of anesthetized rabbits; its decoction can inhibit Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella and Escherichia coli in test tubes. The protein part extracted from the root of this plant has antiviral effect. Mirabilis antiviral protein (MAP) is a ribosome inactivation protein with antiviral and protein synthesis inhibitory effects. In addition, MAP has an abortive effect on pregnant mice and an antiproliferative effect on tumor cells.

       Efficacy and Indications:
       Clearing away heat and dampness; detoxifying and promoting blood circulation; stranguria with heat; white turbidity; edema; red and white vaginal discharge; joint swelling and pain;

       Election party:
       1. Treatment of stranguria and leucorrhea: 1 to 2 liang of Mirabilis jasmine root (peeled, washed and sliced), 3 to 5 qian of Poria cocos. Decoction in water, take before meals, twice a day. ("Fujian Folk Herbal Medicine")
