    Pulsatilla chinensis (Latin name: Pulsatilla chinensis (Bunge) Regel), Ranunculaceae, Pulsatilla chinensis is a perennial herb with rhizomes, ovate leaves, and blue-purple calyx. Aliases include Naihe grass, pink milk grass, bald head grass, old aunt grass and so on. Distributed in hills, barren slopes and fields in Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Heilongjiang and other provinces of China. It has the effects of clearing heat and detoxification, cooling blood and stopping dysentery, drying dampness and killing insects, and has high medicinal value. Pulsatilla can be planted naturally in gardens, used for arranging flower beds, roadsides, or embellishing forest glades. It is an ideal ground cover plant species.

       Pharmacological effects:
       1. Anti-Trichomonas vaginalis: Yan Yan et al. conducted in vitro anti-trichomonas experiments using different concentrations of water extracts of Pulsatilla pulsatillae, and found that Pulsatilla can directly act on the surface membrane of the worm, and has a strong anti-trichomonas effect.
       2. Anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation: Yao D and others found that Pulsatilla can prevent the release of peroxides in liver tissue, increase the activity of MnSOD, and prevent the infection of hepatitis B virus. Long Shengjing et al. used the luminol luminescent system to study and found that the water extract of Pulsatilla chinensis has a strong anti-active oxidation effect, can effectively remove hydrogen peroxide, and prevent cell or tissue damage caused by lipid peroxidation caused by it. Zhang Wenyuan et al found that Pulsatillae Alcohol Extract had a significant inhibitory effect on dextran sulfate-induced colitis in rats.
