    Senecio scandens (Senecio scandens Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don) is a perennial climbing herb of the genus Senecio in the Asteraceae family. The stem of Senecio is thin cylindrical, the whole is zigzag, with many branches, the surface is gray-green or yellow-brown, with gray-white pilose; the leaves are long-triangular, with small cracks or feathery lobes, and the petiole has a small amount of soft hairs. Hairy; petals are oblong, yellow, pilose, and the whole flower looks like an umbrella; fruit is cylindrical, pilose; flowering period is September-October, and fruiting period is October-November. [6] Because it has the effect of improving eyesight, it is called Senecio, which means clairvoyance.
       Seedlings of Senecio prefer shade and cool environment, adult plants are not strict, adaptability is strong, and soil requirements are not strict, but it is better to cultivate in fertile, moist and well-drained sandy loam soil; it often grows in forest edges, wasteland, shrubs , on rocks, mostly distributed in China, South Asia and Southeast Asia; there are three propagation methods: seed propagation, cutting propagation and layering propagation.
