  The sea bottom coconut is a kind of wild fruit tree growing in the old-growth forest of Thailand. Because the shape of the tree species and fruit is like the tropical plant coconut, and most of them grow in the sea, it is called the sea bottom coconut. The underwater coconut can be divided into female and male plants. The female plant only begins to bear fruit after 17 years of growth, but can bear fruit all year round. The fruit looks like a coconut and has three pieces of flesh inside. The flesh of the fruit is light and refreshing, delicious, and has the effects of moistening the lungs, reducing fever, dispelling phlegm, and relieving cough. Local villagers often go up the mountain to pick its fruits, which are used to treat cough and other diseases.
  Submarine coconuts do not grow on the seabed, but rather in the palm family. Underwater coconuts can be divided into African undersea coconuts and Thai undersea coconuts based on their origin, and only the latter can be purchased on the market.   Thai undersea coconut, before slicing, has a large chestnut like fruit. The original plant is sugar palm, also known as fanleaf palm, and this fruit is called "Dan" in Thailand. At present, the dry and wet undersea coconuts sold on the market are the fruits of sugar brown, mainly grown in Southeast Asia and belong to tropical plants.
