Details :
  Centipede grass, a traditional Chinese medicine name. The whole grass or rhizome of Pteris vittata L., a plant of the Pteris genus in the family Pteris. The plant centipede grass is distributed in central southern and southwestern China, as well as in Shaanxi, Gansu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, and other places. It has the effects of dispelling wind and dampness, relaxing muscles and activating collaterals, detoxifying and killing insects. Indications: Rheumatic muscle and bone pain, low back pain, limb numbness, poor flexion and extension, hemiplegia, falls and injuries, colds, dysentery, breast carbuncle, sore toxin, scabies, roundworm disease, snake and insect bites.
